The Pakistan Stock Exchange performance experienced a significant increase of 2,754 points throughout the week as a result of the approved Budget 2024, which included specific modifications from the initially presented budget, and the positive response from the IMF regarding the bailout program. Starting from 41,452 points at the end of the previous financial year, the market concluded the first working week of FY 2023-24 at 44,202 points. It is anticipated that the KSE 100 index may encounter resistance after the 45,000 level, so investors are advised to exercise caution and secure their gains. Currently, the cement, power, and oil & gas sectors present potential opportunities for investment.
