Weekly review of the Pakistan Stock Exchange and KSE 100 index for the period from 26th April to 28th April 2023

26^th April 2023

The Pakistan Stock Exchange opened after the Eid holidays with a positive note. The KSE 100 index closed at 41099.58 points with a gain of 91.76 points. The trade volume stood at 186.88 million shares having value of PKR 5.7 billion. CNERGY was the most active stock in terms of volume with 10.38 million shares traded during the day closing at PKR 3.56 followed by MLCF with trade volume of 6.18 million shares (closed at PKR 26.97) and TRG with 4.71 million shares (closed at PKR 110.75).

27^th April 2023

The Pakistan Stock Market remained positive while KSI 100 index opening at 41099 points and closing at 41464 points after touching 41518 level. The trade volume was 169.06 million shares with value of PKR 6.25 billion. Among the KSE 100 index companies, BAFL remained on top with trade of 14.26 million shares (closing at PKR 29.46). MLCF and KEL followed with 7.28 million shares (closed at PKR 27.61) and 4.76 million shares (closed at PKR 2) respectively.

28^th April 2023

The KSE 100 index improved further with 132.96 points over the previous day closing at 41580.85 points on the last day of the week. The trade volume further enhanced to 266.88 million having value of PKR 8.95 billion. CNERGY remained the top contributor among the KSE 100 companies in terms of traded volume with 23.11 million shares and closed at PKR 3.65 with a rise of PKR 0.11 (3.11%). UBL had traded volume of 8.11 million shares, closing at PKR 122.72 with a rise of PKR 6.78 (5.85%) over the previous day. KEL had 6.15 million shared traded during the day and closed at PKR 1.97 with a fall of PKR 0.03 (1.5%) than the previous day’s price.
