Weekly update on the performance of Pakistan Stock Market from 17th to 20th April 2023

The Pakistan Stock Market showed improvement and KSE 100 index closed at 40246.66 points with a gain of 41.12 points over the previous day. Total 94.63 million shares were traded during the day with a value of PKR 3.06 billion. PABC was the highest contributor in volume with 5.05 million shares (closed at PKR 49.45) followed by EPCL with 4.17 million shares (closed at PKR 44.44) and LOTCHEM with 3.67 million shares (closed at PKR 25.3).

18th April 2023

KSE 100 index closed at 40448 points with a gain of 201 points. A total of 67.49 million shares were traded having value of PKR 2.27 billion. KEL was the highest contributor with 3.53 million shares (closed at 1.98) followed by MLCF with 2.48 million shares (closed at PKR 26.26) and PPL with 2.24 million shares (closed at PKR 67.33).

19th April 2023

The market gained 51 points over the previous day and closed at 40499 points. Total 84.11 million having a value of PKR 3.63 billion were traded during the day. The highest volume was attributed to ENGRO with 4.28 million shares (closed at PKR 292.66). PPL had a trade volume of 2.94 million shares (closed at PKR 67.41) followed by DGKC with 1.93 million shares (closed at PKR 44.13).

20th April 2023

The market showed a high rise on the last working day before Eid-ul-Fitr closing at 41007.82 points with a gain of 509 points over the previous day. The trade volume was 172.71 million shares having value of PKR 5.71 billion. ENGRO had a trade volume of 5.24 million shares (closed at PKR 309.61) followed by CNERGY having volume of 4.12 million shares (closed at PKR 3.45) and MEBL with 3.55 million shares (closed at PKR 99.22).

The market remained closed on 21st of April 2023 due to official holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr and will reopen on Tuesday 26th of April 2023.
